Vero Betzel is a trainer and quality mentor on the trendig team. Originally on track to become a teacher, Vero discovered his passion for quality assurance while studying to become a teacher. He gained practical experience in software testing while still in college and, after earning his bachelor’s degree, made the full transition to the world of quality assurance.
Since 2017, Vero has worked in various roles as a tester, quality engineer, and test manager on software and hardware projects. In doing so, he has gained experience across different industries and organizational structures—from e-commerce and building automation to industrial and platform solutions. He is familiar with various process models and lifecycles from practical experience and views quality as a shared responsibility throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
Since 2024, Vero has increasingly focused on the training and professional development of specialists. His understanding of quality extends far beyond the actual testing process: for him, quality begins with requirements, architectural decisions, communication, and collaboration. He conveys this understanding in practical training sessions on software testing, requirements engineering, and quality management.
Openness, directness, and respectful dialogue on equal terms are particularly important to him. As a regular speaker at national and international conferences, he values dialogue with the community just as much as working with training participants. His training sessions combine methodological knowledge with real-world project scenarios and create space for discussion, reflection, and sustainable learning.
In addition to his professional work, Vero is a mental health advocate and promotes awareness of mental health in the workplace. He finds balance from his professional life through the volunteer fire department, on the soccer field, while running, or during strength training.
Whether in a project, in a training session, or on stage—Vero combines professional depth with a passion for sharing knowledge and a commitment to achieving sustainable improvements together.
